VIDEO FLASHBACK: Sheila And Lauren’s Battle

Although her character first appeared on The Young and the Restless, Sheila Carter has spent more time on The Bold and the Beautiful. She escaped from the outskirts of Genoa City back in 1992 and took a job as a nurse at Forrester Creations.

Sheila couldn’t outrun her past, however. Soon, Lauren Fenmore traveled west to visit her pals, the Forresters, and Sheila convinced herself that a reunion with her rival was inevitable! After all, Lauren sold Forrester gowns in her department store (Fenmore’s) and Sheila was romantically involved with designer Eric Forrester!

Sheila and Lauren ended up having a knockdown battle in Lauren’s hotel room. The baby-swiping nurse tried to reason with Lauren, telling her that she’d changed her evil ways and apologized for her past bad behavior. Lauren wasn’t to be deterred. She didn’t want to hear Sheila’s empty excuses.

During their confrontation, Lauren recapped all of Sheila’s sins, refusing to back down for even a second! Not surprisingly, the confrontation turned physical and Sheila administered a game-changing blow by knocking Lauren unconscious by hitting her over the head with a glass vase.

Then, Sheila bound and gagged her victim so she could join Eric at his fashion show. However, Lauren and the authorities burst into the showing and had Sheila arrested. And then…Sheila woke up! She had imagined the entire confrontation with Lauren, who ended up leaving town without even realizing her nemesis was alive!

While the fight was a fantasy, the ratings that the episodes delivered were rock solid! B&B took the number two spot in the weekly TV ratings for the first time that week in late 1992.
