The Bold and the Beautiful
Caroline Spencer, Ridge’s first wife, learned she was dying on The Bold and the Beautiful. She wanted to go out in style and that’s exactly what she did.
The dying ingenue wanted to bring people together so she threw a party for herself and invited her loved ones, her father Bill (Jim Storm), her husband Ridge (then Ronn Moss), and his family.
Knowing that Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) would likely reunite after her death, Caroline (Joanna Johnson) suggested they dance together. She paired estranged couple Eric (John McCook) and Stephanie (Susan Flannery) together hoping they’d get back together. Caroline danced with her ex-Thorne (then Jeff Trachta) and encouraged him to work things out with Macy with whom he’d recently split from after finding out she was the daughter of Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley).
Felicia (Colleen Dion) didn’t have a solid love interest and Bill’s wife Margo (Lauren Koslow) was at home with her ill son so Bill and Felicia were paired off.
Caroline grew weak and nearly fainted. She claimed it was because of the champagne, but Ridge knew it was more than that. He started to leave with his wife, wanting her last moments on earth to be private ones between them.
Before she left, Caroline thanked everyone and asked them to be kind to one another. Soon, Caroline went to her final reward while the dynamics she set in motion at her farewell played out in the coming months and years.
