Thomas Forrester is back in the driver’s seat on The Bold and the Beautiful. He’s getting closer and closer to getting what he wants, but there is one person the Forrester heir can’t manipulate.
The Bold and the Beautiful Manipulator
He has to be thrilled that his father Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and stepmother Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) have signed divorce papers. And Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) is also worming his way back into Hope’s (Annika Noelle) life at Forrester Creations.
Additionally, Thomas has Zoe (Kiara Barnes) believing that he’s on her side. She’s reluctant to believe him, but she is hoping he can help her be redeemed in the eyes of the Forresters.
Thomas and His Achilles Heel
Thomas, however, knows there’s one person he’s likely never going to be able to ever manipulate — and that person is his younger sister, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
“[Steffy is] the closest relationship Thomas has ever had in his life,” Atkinson told TV Insider. “He’s got his father, his mother, and his son. He spent time with Caroline before she died, but he spent his entire childhood with Steffy. Even though she’s the younger sister, she’s become the older one at times, taking care of Thomas. They’re forever attached and it’s the closest relationship in his life.”
One reason Atkinson feels Thomas and Steffy get along so well is that they’re so much alike. Sure, Steffy’s never gone to the lengths Thomas had to get what he wants, but she has pursued her passions in life.
“When it comes to manipulating, Steffy has arguably gone down that path,” Atkinson suggests. “He knows he can’t get away with anything when he’s around her. There’s an interesting relationship there. I love Jacqui so much. Every time we get to work together, it’s a blast.” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
