Henry Joseph Samiri plays one smart kid — Douglas — on The Bold and the Beautiful. In real-life, he’s a fan of smart people, such as genius scientist Albert Einstein as evidenced by a recent Instagram post.

The young actor selected Einstein for his “person of the month.” He shared on social media: “It’s a few days late but I wanted to share my person of the month for November. Albert Einstein!! I liked learning that even though he was so smart he didn’t do very well in school.”

Samiri added a quote attributed to the late genius: “A true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.” #einstein #alberteinstein #e=mc2 #historyrocks #lovetoread #lovebooks #learningisfun #readingisfun #famouspeopleinhistory #inventors.”

The tome on Einstein is apparently one in a series as indicated by Samiri’s pal Judah Mackey (Connor, The Young and the Restless). “Love these books!!” Mackey posted.

“They’re the best!” Samiri replied. “Glad you like them too. If you haven’t seen the show on Netflix, it’s great!” The BB star is referring to the streaming service The Who Was Show? Mackey replied: “oh that’s so cool! Will check it out!”

Veteran BB fans recall the name “Einstein” dates back to the show’s early days. Whenever the late Saul Feinberg (Michael Fox) was frustrated with dim-witted Darla (Schae Harrison), he’d call her “Einstein.” Despite his frustrations, Saul also said the nickname with an endearing tone.

Fans found out that the handle “Einstein” wasn’t exactly a nickname for Sally’s (Darlene Conley) secretary. When Darla testified at Dylan’s (Dylan Neal) trial, she had to state her full name. Since she’d always gone by just “Darla,” viewers had never heard her surname. What was it? You guessed it! Harrison’s full character name was “Darla Einstein.”

Later, she became Darla Forrester after marrying Thorne (Winsor Harmon). Tragically, Darla lost her life when Taylor (Hunter Tylo), Douglas’s grandmother, accidentally struck her with her car. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
