Last Friday, The Bold and the Beautiful treated viewers to their 30th-anniversary episode which had been shot on location in Australia. And today, the venerable soap will be following a similar pattern – this time at another gorgeous location.
The news comes courtesy of actor Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), who posted a video to the soaps official Twitter page in which he revealed to fans that they were in for a Friday full of “adventure, angst, high fashion [and] glamour.”
The episode in question is one that originally premiered back in August of 2014 and featured extensive location shooting in Paris, France. It was part of a trilogy that was filmed and aired in order to recognize the soap’s 25th year as a French import.
Among the many faces that fans are bound to recognize are Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer), Rena Sofer (Quinn Fuller), Ashleigh Brewer (ex-Ivy Forrester) and even Kim Matula, the actress who played Hope Logan prior to Annika Noelle assuming the role.
Though it has been officially announced which of three Parisian episodes will be shown, it’s probably a safe bet to assume we’re about to relive Ivy’s perilous tumble into the river Seine and Liam’s heroic – and ultimately successful – effort to rescue her.
But if you’re not a fan of the so-called “Flashback Friday,” have no fear. According to Clifton, the show will be airing an all-new episode on Monday, April 13, 2020, which will pick up “right where we left off…”
BB made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamour to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), BB knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Young and the Restless (YR). BB airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
