The Bold And The Beautiful Star Vincent Irizarry — Is The Doctor Out?

The Bold and the Beautiful scored a casting coup when it hired Emmy-winner Vincent Irizarry to take on the role of Dr. Jordan Armstrong. Bad Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was in good hands with the handsome doctor, who did his best to alleviate concerns Thomas’ relatives had over his condition — but what’s the doctor’s prognosis?

According to Soaps.com, Irizarry has, for now, wrapped his recurring gig as the doctor, having last appeared in late September. In his first appearance, Dr. Armstrong mentioned that he was a father, too. That certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the Emmy-winning actor’s fans who wouldn’t mind seeing him not only continue on the show but getting to know his family, too!

Alas, after some appearances, Dr. Armstrong has seemingly hung up his stethoscope. He could have been worked into Katie’s kidney transplant storyline, but rather than make Dr. Armstrong a physician who can do anything (which many soap fans rightly see as unrealistic), the show opted to bring in kidney specialist Dr. Davis (played by Tisha Campbell).

Still, there are likely many medical maladies that could pop up requiring Dr. Armstrong’s services so it’s possible we’ll see both him in the future! What could be Irizarry’s next move? His characters on The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives, David Chow and Deimos Kiriakis, respectively, have both gone to that great soap in the sky.

Perhaps Irizarry could reprise another doctor role he has on his resume — All My Children’s Dr. David Hayward. While AMC is no more, ABC has the rights to all the characters and he could turn up on General Hospital. David’s return to Anna’s (Finola Hughes) life would turn a triangle with Anna, Finn (Michael Easton), and Hayden (Rebecca Budig) into a quadrangle! Stay tuned to see what happens next.
