Veteran fans of The Bold and the Beautiful recall that before Spectra 2.0, there was the Spectra gang, headed by the late, great Darlene Conley (Sally). Now, the actress who played her loyal assistant, Darla Einstein, has fallen on some hard times!
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to give assistance to Schae Harrison (ex-Darla). She left the show in 2006 after Taylor fatally struck Darla with her car.
After that time, Harrison has recurred as Darla and would sometimes appear as an astral image to her daughter Aly (Ashlyn Pearce), but those appearances came to a close after Aly, too, was accidentally killed while fighting with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Cathy Tomas, a friend of Harrison’s, wrote a letter, explaining the actress’ current predicament on a GoFundMe page.
Below is an abbreviated form of the letter and a link to the GoFundMe page that will aid Harrison:
Dear Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful,
Schae was formally diagnosed with Chronic Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Her symptoms started almost two years ago but it took a lot of time and heartache before she got formally diagnosed. It’s been so hard for her and she had to quit her job on [the TV show] Castle because she couldn’t stand and work long hours. She is now sometimes in a wheelchair.
She is on medication and getting treatments but because she can’t work, she’s run through her savings and is finding it hard to pay for her medical expenses and for taking care of her son, Haven. She loves Haven more than anything and her heart is broken that he’s suffering because of her illness.
Schae filed a claim for social security disability two years ago but her case isn’t being heard until April 2019. We are hoping to raise $8,000 to pay some back bills, pay for her and Haven’s rent, food and utilities and Schae’s medicine until her disability is approved.
