The Bold and the Beautiful Star Rena Sofer Shares a Very Important Journey

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Rena Sofer took to social media today to post not once, not twice, but three times as she documented her journey as she got vaccinated for COVID-19.

Rena Sofer Is Not Throwing Away Her Shot

In her first post, Sofer, who plays Quinn Fuller Forrester, posted: “Getting vaccinated today!! #getvaccinated #endthisnightmare #wearamask.

“So, I am on my way to get my first vaccination,” Sofer shared in a video in her first post. “I have no idea which vaccine it’s going to be. As you can see, I’m headed to the tent. I am definitely nervous, but excited to get it done and move towards a normal existence so, wish me luck.”

Sofer didn’t post a video in her second post, most likely because she was focused on the task at hand — getting the actual shot. She did give her followers an update in her post, referring to the injection. “Ouch!!” Sofer posted, hastening to add, “Not really. #ɢᴇᴛᴠᴀᴄᴄɪɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ #wearamask.”

“Okay,” Sofer posted in her third message after receiving her dosage. “So, just got the Johnson & Johnson [vaccine]…I’m one and done. Now, I’m sitting in the observation area, hoping to make sure that everything is okay. Whew! It’s done!”

Sofer’s real-life partner in life, Sanford Bookstaver, a director, shared her post: “So happy for you my love.”

BB was the first soap opera, and quite possibly the first scripted series, that got back into production last year after there was an industry-wide shut down due to the pandemic. BB implemented strict safety protocols, paving the way for other shows to get back to work, too. Now with actors getting their vaccinations, it will make things that much safer on set.

Executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell opted to not write COVID-19 into the show. Actors and production have been employing social distancing on set as they’ve brought the shows to life.
