The Bold and the Beautiful Star Kiara Barnes Suffers a Heartbreaking Loss

The Bold and the Beautiful viewers’ hearts went out to Zoe, played by Kiara Barnes, during her first year on the show in 2018 when Zoe’s beloved cat Harry passed away. Now, sadly, life has imitated art and Barnes has said farewell to a beloved family pet.

“Rest in peace Diesel,” Barnes wrote on an Instagram story that contained a photo of her holding a beautiful dog. “Love you to the moon and back.”

Barnes made her BB debut on July 9, 2018 as Zoe Buckingham. She was introduced as the daughter of Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady), the doctor who delivered and then stole Hope’s (Annika Noelle) baby daughter with Liam (Scott Clifton).

Soon, Zoe became aware of what her father had done and how he involved Flo (Katrina Bowden) in his scheme to use the baby to pay off some gambling debts. Zoe reconnected with ex-flame Xander Avant (Adain Bradley). At first, Zoe came on a little strong with her ex, but he felt sympathy for her after her beloved cat Harry was found dead.

Xander and Zoe grew closer after Emma (Nia Sioux) was killed in a car crash while being pursued by Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). After the truth came out about Beth being alive, Xander left town, but Zoe stuck around, hoping to make amends.

Thomas tricked her into thinking he was interested in her and even went so far as to propose to her in order to force Hope’s hand. As the ceremony began, Hope left and returned wearing a beautiful gown. Thomas hoped that Hope was ready to marry him, but instead, his schemes were exposed. Poor Zoe was left at the altar.

However, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who started to officiate Zoe and Thomas’ ceremony, took a liking to her and they began dating. He proposed marriage and she accepted, but then started to have second thoughts in light of her attraction to Zende (Delon de Metz).
