Even before COVID-19 changed life for everyone, actors like Katrina Bowden of The Bold and the Beautiful, were putting themselves on tape at home for audition submissions. The actress recently shared on social media, however, that practice doesn’t always make perfect!
Katrina Bowden Creates An Audition Tape
“After 15 years of acting professionally,” Bowden shared, “I still cannot do a single audition slate without mispronouncing my own name or forgetting a very basic fact about myself #awkwardlevel100 #atalltimes.”
As you can see in the video Bowden posted below, she initially fumbles but then completes what she needs to say. Her flubbing, however, only makes her more endearing to her followers.
“Damn it you’re cute,” says Kelly Kruger (Eva; ex-Mac, The Young and the Restless). Another co-star, Kiara Barnes (Zoe), says she can relate to video flubs. “Omg me.”
Bowden’s post, at press time, had close to 13,000 views. The actress must be doing something right with her submission tapes as she has amassed over 45 credits to her name. Her first gig was on One Life to Live as Britney in 2006. That same year, she landed the recurring role of Cherie on the long-running sitcom 30 Rock.
The actress has also appeared on New Girl, Psych, Ugly Betty, Public Morals, Hunter’s Moon, and The Divorce Party. Her upcoming projects include: Senior Moment, Morning Shine, and Great White.
Bowden joined BB in 2018 as Flo Fulton, a friend of Wayne Brady’s Reese Buckingham. Reese convinced an unwitting Flo to take part in his scheme to pass off baby Beth as her child so that Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) would adopt her. Later, BB tied Flo to the Logan clan by revealing that her late father is Storm Logan (William deVry). The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airdates.
