A 35-mile bike ride may sound daunting to most but for one star of The Bold and the Beautiful, it’s just the beginning. Katherine Kelly Lang, who plays Brooke, is sharing how she’s spending her time during BB’s production hiatus.
“I’m trying to get back into shape,” Lang told TV Insider. “To me, 35 miles isn’t that far. I’m used to doing 50 and 100-mile bike rides. The ride was fun and beautiful, so green and spectacular. It’s been quiet in the past, but on this last ride, I’ve seen more people out driving. There’s traffic again.
“It’s great to stay focused,” the actress adds. “I don’t get depressed but those feelings have crept in [during this time]. Getting outside with nature and testing my body makes me feel good.”
Lang recently shared that she had a great Mother’s Day! She spent it with her daughter Zoe and her two children, Zuma, and newborn grandson Reign. “He is so cute,” the actress raves. “Zoe surprised me and brought the babies over on Mother’s Day. I was nervous. I was like, ‘I can’t be near the baby!’ So, we stayed outside and had a picnic. It was a nice social-distancing picnic. I didn’t hold Reign, but he’s a beautiful boy.”
This week, the Brooke-themed classic episodes continue on BB. Viewers can see Nick (Jack Wagner) and Brooke at the altar on Thursday, and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) shares a romantic reunion with Brooke on Friday. Not all of Brooke’s marriage ceremonies end with “I do’s” being exchanged, but she’s always had romance in her life.
“There’s been romance from early on with our show,” Lang points out. “There are candles, roses, rose petals on the bed, the sexy clothes, and the whole jet-set life. B&B is romance.” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
