Karla Mosley hasn’t remained idle since Maya shifted the background on The Bold and the Beautiful. The fan-favorite actress has a new role she’s tackling on the Los Angeles stage!

Big News For Karla Mosley

Later this month, Mosley will debut in the musical Found based on Davy Rothbart’s Found magazine, which tells the stories of what happens to letters and notes that have been discarded or lost throughout our busy lives.

“I was mostly attracted to the musical,” Mosley tells Soap Hub. “I love interpreting true words. And I loved the sweetness, honesty, and comedy of this piece. Though, I suppose my soap opera roots run deep — I ended up playing the other woman who throws a wrench in the love story!”

Mosley can relate to a surprise note entering someone’s life. “I was in NYC and I was feeling intimidated by taxi drivers on a very narrow street,” the actress recalls. “So, trying to maneuver out of the way, I ended up scraping a parked car. Of course, it was a new BMW! So, I left a note for the owner. He was absolutely shocked when I answered and was actually the person who hit his car. I think he assumed it was a fake number.”

In recent years, musicals including The Sound of Music, Rent, and Jesus Christ Superstar have come to television. What show would Mosley like to see be produced for TV next? “Dreamgirls is one of my favorite musicals — that could be fun,” she responds.

It’s been over a decade since beloved serial Guiding Light, Mosley’s first soap, on which she played Christina came to an end. “Lawrence Saint-Victor [Carter, BB; ex-Remy, GL] and I work together and stay in touch,” Mosley shares.

“Also, Zach Conway [ex-Oliver, BB; ex-James, GL] also had a baby around the time Lawrence and I [each] did — we ran into each other at the doctor’s office! That was such a wonderful family, we are always happy to have a reason to see one another.

“As insane as it was, those trips to Peapack, NJ [where GL shot on location] were so much fun. It was like trauma bonding and summer camp all at once! And [at] the last [Daytime] Emmys [in 2009] we all [were] together. I felt proud standing on that stage with the cast, realizing I’d never be a part of something quite like that again. I felt my grandmother smiling down on me.”

Found runs from February 20 to March 23 at The Los Angeles Theatre Center. For tickets, click here. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
