April’s a special month for actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood! The actress is not only celebrating her nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her work on The Bold and the Beautiful, but it’s also her birthday today!
It’s hard to believe but Wood is celebrating her 10th anniversary as Steffy Forrester this year, having joined the show in 2008.
Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Wood moved to Toronto when she was 18 to pursue a career in acting.
In May of 2008, she began airing as Steffy. The role is a strong, dominant character, who is also capable of showing great vulnerability.
She’s gone up against rivals, including Hope (Annika Noelle) and Sally (Courtney Hope), for the affections of Liam (Scott Clifton).
While this is Wood’s first year in the supporting actress category, she has been nominated in the past not once, but twice for Outstanding Younger Leading actress for playing Steffy.
In 2013, Wood took a break from the show, but she returned as a contract player in April, 2015. She’s remained on the B&B canvas ever since.
Wood’s big screen credits include the feature film Final Destination 5. She’s also guest-starred in The CW series Arrow as Sara Lance and appeared in the Lifetime TV movie Her Husband’s Betrayal. She also appeared in an episode of the Charlie Sheen series Anger Management.
