The Bold and the Beautiful Star Jacob Young Releases Lovin’ It

Fans of former The Bold and the Beautiful star Jacob Young know that the talented actor is also a singer. He’s not on daytime right now, but he can still be seen and heard thanks to a new project he’s completed.

Young’s music career harkens back to his early days. In 2001, his first CD, titled Jacob Young, was released. He showcased his musical theater talent by appearing as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway.

The actor scored a Daytime Emmy for his role as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. After vacating that role, he moved to New York to take on the part of JR Chandler on All My Children. Following that show’s cancellation, he returned to BB to reprise Rick.

Job Well Done

Young received two additional Daytime Emmy nominations in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for playing Rick in 2015 and 2016. The show told a love story in which Rick fell in love with Maya (Karla Mosley) unaware that she’d been born as a male (named Myron). After initially being overwhelmed by the news, Rick grew to realize that he loved Maya and the two were married.

Alas, Rick and Maya, after having a daughter Lizzie, split up off-screen. Currently, Rick is off the canvas. Maya’s living in Los Angeles and has appeared sporadically. There was a hint of touching upon Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) feelings for Maya, but that story has yet to materialize.

Many fans are hoping that someday Rick and Maya will reunite. Off-screen, Young wed Christen Steward in 2007. They have three children. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
