Hunter Tylo and her fans have gotten a big gift! Earlier this year, the actress returned to The Bold and the Beautiful in a shocking, surprise story twist!
Now, Tylo has even more to celebrate! She was born on July 3, 1962 as Deborah Jo Hunter in Fort Worth, TX and is making some birthday wishes today.
Earlier in her career, she went by the stage name Deborah Morehart after she wed Tom Morehart, but that union didn’t last. Hunter met her next husband, Michael Tylo (ex-Matt, All My Children) after she was cast on AMC as Robin.
Tylo then hopped over to Days of Our Lives where she was cast in the thankless role of Marina Toscano, a woman who tried to romance Steve (Stephen Nichols) away from Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).
After that stint came to an end, she auditioned for B&B. The show was looking to cast a leading lady who could help fill the void left by Joanna Johnson’s Caroline.
B&B creator William J. Bell cast Tylo as Taylor, asking her after her audition if anyone had ever told her she was attractive.
In Tylo’s hands, Taylor emerged as one of B&B’s most popular heroines; the show’s writers positioned her as a moral foil to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Tylo briefly left B&B in 1996 after she was cast on Melrose Place. Producers opted to drop her from the show after it was announced that she was pregnant.
Melrose’s loss was B&B’s gain. Tylo returned to the half hour soap (producers disguised her pregnancy) and the triangle of Taylor, Ridge (then Ronn Moss; now Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke was on again!
Soap Hub joins Tylo’s friends and family in wishing the soap opera star a happy birthday and many happy returns! You can wish her well too with the tweet link below.
