There’s an old showbiz adage about never working with children or animals as they tend to steal scenes. The Bold and the Beautiful star Henry Joseph Samiri is one such child and the young actor certainly has made Douglas Forrester one of the soap’s most memorable!
Congratulations, Henry Joseph Samiri
Believe it or not, it’s been a year since Samiri first came to BB to play the role of Douglas. While his first-anniversary air date appears to be March 15, Samiri counts February 11 as his anniversary, as that’s the day he arrived at the studio to shoot his premiere episode.
“ONE year ago today I walked through the doors of CBS to studio 31!!” Samiri posted on Instagram. “I could not have been luckier than to end up working with some of the best talent and best friends I hope to have for life. Thank You @boldandbeautifulcbs for trusting in my little 5-year-old self and I hope I have made you proud.”
Since joining the show, Samiri has been in approximately 70 episodes of the CBS serial! Douglas played a pivotal role in the resolution to the kidnapping of baby Beth storyline last year.
After learning that Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) daughter was really alive and was being raised by an unwitting Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Douglas stepped up, despite receiving stern looks from his father, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), the little guy informed Hope and Liam that Beth was alive!
At first, he wasn’t believed, but it soon became clear that Douglas knew what he was talking about! Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), Douglas’s dad, wasn’t too pleased that his son was so honest. Even though Thomas gets frustrated with his son, he does care about him. Off-screen, Atkinson and Samiri get along great and Atkinson has been known to give a piggyback ride or two to his TV son.
Soap Hub congratulates Samiri on his one-year anniversary of being on BB. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
