The Bold and the Beautiful Star Heather Tom Makes MAJOR Career Move!

The Bold and the Beautiful star Heather Tom has been working in television for most of her life. And now the five-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress is embarking on a new venture, which is bringing her to a primetime soap in a behind-the-scenes capacity.

The actress, who plays Katie on B&B, has been accepted into a director’s program at CBS. Now, she’s getting to observe (or ‘shadow’) a director of an upcoming episode of Dynasty, which airs on The CW.

Tom brings experience to the table, having directed episodes at B&B and also the short films Blink, Serenity, and Bigfoot’s Love Slave.

After being accepted into the CBS Directors Initiative last year, Tom shared on Instagram, “I can’t wait to meet these talented directors! I’m so honored to be a part of the CBS directors program!”

Tom’s interest in directing won’t affect her screen-time on B&B. In fact, the actress’ storyline is picking up lately with Katie sharing time with ex-husband Bill (Don Diamont).
