Heather Tom’s followers know that The Bold and the Beautiful star is also a talented director who’s stepped behind that camera at BB, Dynasty, and Good Trouble. A new video she’s put together shows that she’s equally talented in directing comedy!
Heather Tom: A Common Struggle
“Ok…39 days into #quarantine and I have officially Lost. My. Mind…” Tom said on Instagram, along with a video that shows her trying to do something that perhaps many of us can relate to — getting into some clothes that fit perfectly fine before quarantine time took effect.
Tom scored the beginning of her short film to the theme from the Clint Eastwood movie The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly as she prepared for her own showdown. Was her opponent a gunslinger? Nah. Her enemy was a pair of jeans that Tom was determined to fit into – no matter what!
Watch for Tom to make some progress, but is she successful in getting her jeans on her — and buttoned? The mini-film is a tale of tragedy, triumph, and high emotion. Watch for Tom’s son Zane Achor (ex-Will) and her dog Henry to make an appearance in her project. Zane has a line in the film that nearly steals the show!
Tom also draws on a well-known pop song to close out her film. She assures her followers that “Only humans were harmed in the making of this video.” The actress’s pals from the soap world, including Annika Noelle (Hope), Ashley Jones (Bridget), Ashleigh Brewer (ex-Ivy), Lauralee Bell (Christine, The Young and the Restless), and Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, YR) all gave rave reviews on Tom’s post.
The five-time Emmy-winner began her directing career at BB and then went on to make the short film Serenity. Last summer. She also directed an episode of YR, which brought her back to the stage on which she began her soap career as Victoria. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
