Bill Spencer’s got a tough exterior on The Bold and the Beautiful, but sooner or later, he opens up about how he feels. The same could be said for his portrayer, Don Diamont, who recently talked about experiencing a huge loss in his life.
A Sad Loss For Don Diamont
The actor shared on Instagram that his beloved dog, Tessa, passed away in September. “I’ve posted a couple pictures recently with our granddogs,” Diamont shared in a social media post. “A lot of you were asking in comments about our dog, Tessa. Today would have been her 15th birthday, but she passed away about a month ago.
“I was too brokenhearted to post anything [at the time],” he adds. “She was my birthday present from [my wife] @cindyambuehl, and definitely the best birthday present I ever got! She was incredibly idiosyncratic, smart, athletic, and LOVED HER BALL!!! Tessa is sorely missed! I’ve included the last picture I took with her, and a few videos that I posted previously, which have some of her talents on full display. RIP girley‼️‼️‼️❤️❤️❤️”
Friends, co-stars, and fans of the actor shared their sympathies on social media. Diamont’s former YR costar Doug Davidson (Paul) shared a crying emoji on Diamont’s post. TV son Darin Brooks (Wyatt) wrote: “Aww, man, I’m sorry dude… RIP little one!”
Beth Maitland (Traci), Diamont’s leading lady on YR for many years, wrote: “So beautiful!!! Love you. 💔”
BB addressed on-screen how deep the loss of a pet can be in 2018 when Zoe bid farewell to her beloved cat, Harry, who died after living a long life. Harry’s passing helped make Zoe a more sympathetic character and more relatable to anyone who ever loved a pet.
