The Bold and the Beautiful Star Darin Brooks Talks Fantasy V. Reality

Characters on daytime dramas live lives filled with romance, exotic getaways, and intrigue. But The Bold and the Beautiful star Darin Brooks wants folks to know that he and wife, Kelly Kruger, have realities just like anyone else.

Kruger, who recurs as Forrester International publicist Eva on BB, recently posted a short film on her Instagram account. The video shows that reality doesn’t always align with fantasy when it comes to comparing on-screen and off-camera worlds.

“We reposted that video for laughs,” Brooks, who plays Wyatt on BB, tells Soap Hub, adding that he and his wife got the idea to show their followers that what they see on social media isn’t how life really is.

“We wanted to put out some content and do something fun and funny,” Brooks adds. “A lot of our fans think that we have this ‘perfect’ life, but we’re just like any other couple — we have our things and issues that come up and we also have a lot of fun together.

“We wanted to put out a video to show what life is really like,” he adds. “People may think it’s all rose petals and champagne but,” he chuckles, “it’s also making gross sounds when you’re brushing your teeth!”

“Please don’t ever compare yourself, your relationship, your body, your role as a mother, wife, friend to what u see on social…” Kruger notes in her post, which can be seen below. “Nothing is perfect. Everything worth having is hard work. I am saying this because someone said that I have the ‘perfect marriage’…”

Kruger adds that she and Brooks work at their union every single day in order to make it the best it can be. “It’s far from perfect but it’s perfect for us. Ya know?” she shares. “Hopefully the video makes u laugh 😂 #reels #relationshipgoals #marriedlife.”
