On The Bold and the Beautiful, Sally Spectra has competed for honors and respect in the fashion world. In real-life, her portrayer, Courtney Hope, recently competed in another arena — the video game world — courtesy of her performance in the game Control.
Hope attended the recent Game Awards ceremony in Los Angeles and took to the red carpet in honor of not only her nomination but the nominations Control earned, too.
The BB star was nominated for her role as Jesse Faden. The winner in her category was Mads Mikkelsen as Cliff in Death Stranding. Control, however, didn’t walk away empty-handed. The game won Best Art Direction.
“Had such an amazing time last night amongst all the other nominees at the @thegameawards!” Courtney Hope posted. “So happy for our team and our win! What an experience:) Thanks to the fans and critics for all the love! Also, it was such an honor to be nominated alongside Norman Reedus for best performer, he’s been a long-time favorite of mine! A night to remember.”
The Game Awards were hosted by Geoff Keighley and were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The winners were decided by a mixed vote of a jury vote (comprising 90% of the decision) and fan votes on social media (comprising 10% of the decision).
The game industry has grown immensely over the years. In 2014, just under two million viewers saw the awards show. Last year, that number had jumped to over 26 million!
