Eric Made His Wishes Crystal Clear!
The day Eric (John McCook) married Quinn (Rena Sofer) he made some pretty big decisions about his future. He saw his family for who they really are and decided to make some changes about who he could actually trust. As it turns out, he did away with having a right-hand man and chose a woman to take that role instead!

According to the October 10th issue of Soap Opera Digest, Eric made the decision about who would take over in the case of his absence, and it’s not Ridge. Instead, Eric thought his new wife Quinn would be the better choice! While this may seem unorthodox, the last few weeks have proven she’s the only one on his side.

Ridge Forces Carter’s Hand!
However, when Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) brings the paperwork to Ridge things don’t go as Eric planned. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) immediately hatches a plan to keep this little detail a secret and all but forces the family lawyer to keep this revelation to himself! As long as the power of attorney document stays buried, Ridge can take over where his dad left off!

Can Carter Keep a Secret?
Carter may understand Ridge’s motives, but can he stick to this deceitful plan? He took an oath to do right by his client and going against Eric’s wishes won’t sit well. Not to mention, he runs the risk of losing his cushy corporate position if and when Eric comes around and finds out what he and Ridge have done!
