The action’s sizzling on The Bold and the Beautiful these days and it’s being reflected in the show’s ratings. A recent report shows that viewers are tuning in to check out the action on the half-hour soap opera.
For the week ending Friday, January 29, BB reached just under 3 million viewers — 2.95 million, to be exact! This is the largest audience BB has achieved in over nine months.
What stories were captivating viewers last week? Zoe (Kiara Barnes) was in conflict over whether or not to proceed with her plan to wed Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), thanks to a delayed text she received from Zende (Delon de Metz). She was clearly open to exploring a future with the fashion designer.
Some of the action took place at the landmark Forrester family mansion living room set. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) confronted Zoe on her commitment to Carter, his best friend. Meanwhile, Paris (Diamond White) had had enough of her sister’s poor treatment of Carter. She feels he deserves the truth.
Additionally, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was determined to get a paternity test on her unborn child. She wants to know whether her boyfriend Finn (Tanner Novlan) or Liam (Scott Clifton) is the father of the baby she’s carrying!
In addition to these dramas, viewers were treated to an overdue conversation between Katie (Heather Tom) and Bill (Don Diamont), who discussed their future. Bill made a passionate plea to his ex, apologizing for having hurt her in the past and assuring her that it would never happen again.
A tearful Katie, who clearly still has feelings for Bill, turned to her sister Donna (Jennifer Gareis) for support as she grapples with her decision — should she give Bill another chance?
Tom, who is tied with Erika Slezak (ex-Viki, One Life to Live), for most Daytime Emmys won by an actress, was named Soap Hub’s Performer of the Week for BB for her emotionally-packed performance.
If you’re already a fan of BB, you’re not surprised by these numbers — and if you’re not already watching BB, what are you waiting for! BB, which debuted on March 23, 1987, was co-created by the late William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. Bradley Bell is the show’s executive producer/head writer. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
