The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for July 5 – July 9, 2021, feature Quinn Fuller Forrester’s life being upended, Zoe Buckingham becoming disillusioned, and Hope Spencer locating a missing Thomas Forrester.
Quinn (Rena Sofer) reluctantly admitted to Eric Forrester (John McCook), and everyone assembled to witness their vowel renewal ceremony, that she did sleep with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Eric is gutted by the revelation.
After suitably recovering, he ordered Quinn out of his house, his company, and his life. Though she tried to stand her ground, and plea for forgiveness, Quinn eventually complied.
Hope paid Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) a visit, in the hope that he’d made progress on Liam (Scott Clifton) and Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) case. When Justin excused himself to take a private call, Hope took the opportunity to place her own to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
She’s shocked to hear ringing coming from Bill’s desk, and upon investigation, she finds Thomas’s phone. Justin explained that Thomas had left it during his interview with a representative from Eye on Fashion magazine, but he raised Hope’s suspicions by refusing to let her leave with the device and then claiming that Thomas left town.
Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) located Zoe (Kiara Barnes) and relayed everything that had gone down at the Forrester mansion. Zoe is taken aback by the sheer amount of betrayal from her supposed best friend (Quinn) and fiancée (Carter). However, she quickly forgives Paris for not telling her about the affair sooner. Zoe later sets off her trip abroad.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) called on John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and delighted in meeting his grandson. He also told them about the happening at the manse. Steffy isn’t surprised by Quinn’s deception, but she is at Carter’s involvement.
Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) surprised Liam with news of his imminent transfer to a maximum security facility due to the severe nature of his charges. A distraught Liam continued to proclaim his innocence, though Baker refused to entertain the notion.
Ridge’s concern for Thomas escalates when Hope reiterated Justin’s claims about him taking a sudden trip, and he’s further thrown to hear that Justin is in possession of Thomas’s phone.
Hope returned to Spencer Publications and shadowed Justin into the building’s basement. She’s shocked to overhear Justin arguing with Thomas. After Justin takes his leave, Hope manages to gain access to the room and finds Thomas imprisoned inside the utility cage.
While she struggled to free him, Thomas told her all about Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) suicide, and how he framed it as murder at Liam’s hands. He then implored her to leave him behind and go inform Baker of the development.
Steffy and Finn somewhat begrudgingly welcome Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) into their home and allowed them access to Hayes. Talk then turned to Thomas, who hasn’t been made aware of the baby’s existence.
Ridge demanded an audience with Justin and questioned him on Thomas’s whereabouts. When Justin is less than forthcoming, Ridge levels with him father to father.
The thought of Marcus seems to bring Justin round, and after Ridge leaves, he returns to the basement room intent on freeing Thomas and taking him to the police station. Unbeknownst to Justin, Hope has already freed Thomas, and the two of them are desperately trying to convince Baker to halt Liam’s transfer.
