The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for May 31-June 4, 2021, feature Liam regretting his conscience, Bill stepping up for his son, and much more.
While Bill (Don Diamont) anxiously awaited word from Liam (Scott Clifton), the troubled man conferred with Hope (Annika Noelle) over his next move. It was with a heavy heart that they both concluded that Liam should turn himself in to the police.
Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) visited Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and talked up the recent vacation that they and Kelly took. Afterward, the couple headed for the hospital, where Steffy underwent an ultrasound.
Much to their delight, Steffy and Finn learned that they will soon be welcoming a son. The happy news is delivered, in person, to Ridge and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson).
Bill, having realized that Liam intends to confess to his role in Vinny’s (Joe LoCicero) death, raced to the police station, and arrived moments after his son had asked to speak to Deputy Chief Baker (Dan White).
Baker chastised Bill for his interruption but was forced to leave the room anyway when an urgent matter presented itself. Father and son then discussed the pros and cons of the latter coming clean to the police, and Liam seemed to come around to Bill’s way of thinking.
However, once Bill had been convinced to exit the building, Liam revealed to Hope that his acquiescence had been a ruse intended to get Bill out of their hair.
Back at the design house, Ridge and Thomas’s conversation about the Hope for the Future line segued into a serious rumination on the true meaning of love, which Thomas noted means wanting another person to be happy – no matter how it affects you personally. Next, the men talked about Hope and Liam’s reunion, and then Vinny, Thomas’s grief, and his determination to see justice done.
Liam recalled the night that he ran into Vinny – but he withholds any details that would link Bill to the crime. Baker was convinced that there is more to the story, and he demanded that Liam tell him the whole truth. When Liam refused, Baker ordered him arrested.
After profusely forgiving Liam all his trespasses, and declaring her undying love, Hope made a beeline for Bill, and she castigated him for the role he played in the still-unfolding tragedy.
At Baker’s request, Liam was returned to the interrogation room and offered one final chance to tell the complete truth. Much to the officer’s consternation, Liam refused to implicate anyone else in the crime.
Bill then interrupted the proceedings, confessed to engineering the coverup, and demanded that Baker release his son. Instead, Baker placed Bill under arrest and informed him that Liam would remain inside the jail as well.
An emotionally drained Hope returned to her cabin and found a cheerful Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) beautifying the living room. She then shared the details of Liam’s predicament and laid the entire blame at Bill’s feet. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
