The Bold and the Beautiful Recaps: A Fool’s Paradise

The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for May 17-21, 2021, features Liam living the dream, and succumbing to a nightmare, while Wyatt does his level best to keep his family from crumbling around him.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recaps Highlight

While Hope (Annika Noelle) waxed poetic about her future with Liam (Scott Clifton) to a pleased Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), her husband busied himself with planning a no expense spared romantic evening.

Hope is sincerely touched by Liam’s gesture, and as the night progresses, the pair inch ever closer to a true reconciliation. After dinner, and dessert, and a cocktail hour, Hope and Liam make love; she basked in the afterglow, but he’s consumed with guilt as memories of Vinny’s (Joe LoCiero) accident come flooding back.

Family Relations

Wyatt (Darin Brooks) caught Bill (Don Diamont) in yet another foul humor and demanded an explanation – which only served to rankle Bill further. Wyatt eventually confessed to worrying considerably about his father, and when Bill tried to explain away his behavior as concern over his and Katie’s (Heather Tom) future, Wyatt refused to accept the excuse.

Hope For The Future

Brooke and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) discussed the seemingly positive development in Hope and Liam’s relationship, and Ridge cautioned against Brooke pinning her hopes on the couple lasting for the long haul.

Talk It Out

Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) continued to bemoan the fact that Vinny’s killer has yet to be identified, and Ridge assured him that justice would eventually be served. The conversation then turned to Hope and Liam, and Ridge wondered if Thomas is well and truly accepting of his ex’s decision. Thomas insisted that he was…then tore out of the room.

He eventually made his way to the cabin, where he interrupted Hope and Liam’s revelry. Thomas issued the couple congratulations on finding their way back to one another, and in response, Liam offered his condolences for Thomas’s loss.

After Thomas took his leave, Liam’s mood noticeably soured, and Hope begged him to confide his troubles to her…but Liam covered with the excuse that he’s just worried that he’ll wind up losing her again.

Battlefield

Thomas paid Bill an ill-advised visit, which ended with the former calling out the latter for his distinct lack of empathy where Vinny and his death are concerned.

Fault Lines

Following continued pressure from Hope to unburden himself to her, Liam finally confessed to his role in the hit and run that resulted in Vinny’s death. When Hope questioned her husband on the actions he undertook that night to try and save his victim’s life, Liam revealed that it had been Bill who drove them away from the accident scene after he lost consciousness.

Impressions

After attending to business, Flo took an opportunity to ask Brooke for her help in opening up a line of communication between her and Hope; Brooke happily agreed.

Later, Flo confessed that she and Wyatt have begun to grow suspicious about the increasingly hostile interactions between Bill and Liam – a subject which intrigues Brooke and Ridge. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
