The Bold and the Beautiful recap for August 10-14, 2020, features a marriage made in…Vegas. And in haste. And while one of the parties was three-sheets to the wind.
Las Vegas is all about the unexpected. One minute Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Shauna (Denise Richards) are having the time of their lives and the next they’re inside an all-night wedding chapel exchanging vows – or in Ridge’s case buying vowels from Pat Sajak.
He really wasn’t in any fit state to be getting married. Heck, he was even confused as to which of the two of them was supposed to throw the bridal bouquet at the ceremony’s conclusion!
But facts are facts. And the facts are that Ridge issued an order that his and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) divorce papers were to be filed and then he went off and got himself hitched Shauna. Well…one of those things is a fact. And only arguably so – we’ll say it again and very, very plainly. Ridge was drunk as a skunk when he said “I Do.”
Meanwhile, it was actually the doting bride who texted Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and demanded the filing of those (long-ago signed) divorce papers. And she only did so because Quinn (Rena Sofer) insisted that it was the only way she would ever snag the Forrester scion.
And though she did a bad, bad thing, Shauna is poised to make up for it by being the perfect wife to Ridge – she even promised to cherish him for the rest of their lives. Too bad Ridge isn’t exactly thrilled at the prospect of starting that happily ever after with bride number…how many times has he been married now?
Let’s see, there was Caroline (Joanna Johnson), Brooke, Taylor (Hunter Tylo) and Caroline the younger (Linsey Godfrey). So that would make Shauna his fifth wife and this his TWELFTH ceremony. Yea, this one will be the clincher.
There are only two things that Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) needs in order to fully recover from her plethora of injuries: mint chocolate ice cream topped with marshmallows and copious amounts of pain killers.
Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) can provide her with the former so he’s forgiven for torpedoing her chance at reconciliation with Liam (Scott Clifton), his torture of Hope (Annika Noelle) and Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Attractive Doctor Finn (Tanner Novlan) can provide her with the proper medication but he’d rather wean Steffy off the hard stuff and instead introduce her to some high dose ibuprofen. However, that over the counter cure-all just isn’t going to cut it for Steffy.
She’s still in serious pain and in desperate need of relief. But she’s just too stubborn to admit it. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
