The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Truth and Consequences

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for August 3-7, 2020, features a criminal getting off scot-free… well, almost. We also had a reunited supercouple and two returning characters who are sure to bring some spice and sizzle.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

Cheaters – or in Sally’s (Courtney Hope) case, liars who fake terminal illnesses – never prosper. Sure, she has her freedom, but she’s lost Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and his love -fate worse than death.

And she got yelled at by Katie (Heather Tom). You know you’ve done wrong when you can excite Katie enough to holler. That’s usually only a position that Bill (Don Diamont) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) find themselves in.

Absolution Needed

But if Katie’s anything like Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), she’ll simply forgive and forget the trespasses committed by all the parties who have wronged her.

For his part, Ridge has decided that he and Brooke have a relationship worth fighting for so he can excuse her turning to his mortal enemy in a fit of pique.

He wasn’t exactly blameless in the situation…he won’t apologize for that, but he will forgive Brooke. Whether or not he forgives Sally is another matter entirely but it will be interesting to see what will become of her designs.

Prior to her “diagnosis” they weren’t up to standards. Afterward, they were the perfect thing for Ridge’s couture line. Or maybe it doesn’t really matter at all. When was the last time that Forrester Creations actually staged a fashion show?

Many (Happyish) Returns

Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) is back. And he’s bearded. He’s been living a nomadic lifestyle while still carving out time to see the son who deemed him bad and insisted that he live with another family. He brought a slowly recovering Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) some flowers and words of encouragement so apparently those two are fine.

Shauna (Denise Richards) is also back in sunny L.A. – it’s her future now and Sin City her past. Luckily she isn’t bearded. But she does insist that she returned in order to be closer to her husband…and she was looking right at Ridge when she said it!

BB Musings

Are we giving Steffy and her new love interest – the dutifully dedicated Doctor Finn – a yay or a nay? And what are going to name our new couple? Stinn? Finny? Stein?

Shauna: “You would not believe how people react to [Ridge]. This group of girls went wild…everywhere we went, he drew a huge crowd.” Really?! A fashion designer managed to draw a throng of swooning devotees? The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
