The Bold and the Beautiful recap for September 28-October 2, 2020, features Steffy coming to a startling conclusion, Ridge making a momentous decision, and Katie getting the goods on Quinn.
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) hasn’t been her best self as of late. Excuse her for getting hit by a car! But she was sure that all she really needed, for now, were a few of those ultra-delicious, pain-relieving pills. What she didn’t need was a whole bunch of people saying that she was some kind of junkie who can’t handle her business.
But that’s exactly what she has become. Liam (Scott Clifton) succinctly referred to it as her transforming into, “The Other Steffy.” The kind of Steffy who lies, makes outrageous accusations, and pulls out switchblades at a moment’s notice.
When Liam, Finn (Tanner Novlan), and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) decided to stage an impromptu intervention for Steffy, she fortified herself for battle. She insisted that she knew her own body better than anyone and that she was only taking the pills to stave off the intense physical pain that she was feeling.
Finn insisted that she was medicating emotional trauma. But Steffy persisted in her claims. And when pressed, she insisted on ingesting another pill just to prove a few key points – namely that she was only taking them for her injuries and that she NEEDED them rather than wanted them.
But when she accidentally spilled her stash and was questioned as to whether or not she would be fine with Kelly witnessing her furiously collecting each discarded pill from the dining room floor, Steffy cracked. “I’ll get better…for Kelly…But you don’t understand…my body’s been in pain and I take those pills, and those pills are the only things that give me peace.”
And with that final statement, Steffy finally gained a sobering clarity. “I’m addicted…I have a problem…I want my daughter back…I need to get better…I need help.”
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge have a legendary love story. It’s a love that is true, and pure, and it’s one that defies all the obstacles. But it might not be strong enough to survive Hurricane Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Showgirl Shauna (Denise Richards).
In fact, Ridge is so besotted with his latest sidepiece-turned-wife that he decided to reward her with an extravagant wedding for the ages. How else is he going to make up for that drunken debacle they’re forced to call a first marriage ceremony?
Now, if only everybody in his life would stop trying to talk him out of. Eric (John McCook) tried. Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) tried. God knows that Brooke’s tried. And now Katie’s (Heather Tom) hopping on the bandwagon…and she’s come bearing one hell of a secret.
Turns out, it was Quinn and Shauna who arranged for Ridge and Brooke’s divorce to become finalized, clearing the way for his quickie service with Shauna. Good thing that Ridge had already, pretty much, decided that he didn’t want to remarry his wife anyway!
Zoe: “I didn’t mean to run Donna off.” Brooke: “Oh, you didn’t. She’s meeting someone for coffee.” Zoe: “A new love interest?” Brooke: “I don’t know…she’s being very cryptic.” Please, PLEASE tell us Donna is finally getting herself a new man in her life…or at least some type of story. Any story will do.
Is it wrong to hold out hope that maybe her luncheon companion is Eric? Especially given the fact that we know where his and Quinn’s story is headed. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
