The Bold and the Beautiful recap for March 16-20, 2020, features a child officiated wedding ceremony, a shocking revelation, and some hypocritical judgment.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

Children are resilient creatures and BB’s Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) is no exception.

Hope And Liam Happy At Last?

After witnessing that brutal takedown of his no-good daddy, the young man happily retired to Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) cottage and worked with the latter to stage an impromptu wedding for two people who were actually in love.

Turns out Douglas is now just as contented with Hope marrying and being with Liam as he would have been if she had wed Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). Use, abuse, and fool him once shame on you, do it twice and Douglas is through with you!

BB Musings

Sally: “What do you want me to do? Do you want me to come clean with Wyatt? …tell him that the whole thing’s been a scam? …Do you want me to tell him the truth, Doctor Escobar? You want me to tell Wyatt that I am not dying?”

Wow! Raise your hand if you saw this story swerve coming. And while we’re on the subject of out-of-nowhere surprises, would anyone be shocked to find out that Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz) isn’t actually a doctor?

Doesn’t it seem a tad convenient that Sally’s (Courtney Hope) original physician left town for a vacation and Escobar just happened to be available to deliver the news of ol’ Red’s “terminal illness?”

Shauna: “How can [Brooke] do this to Ridge? He loves her. He believes in their marriage. And she’s secluded in a cabin kissing a man that her husband loathes…How committed can she be to Ridge when she’s making out with Bill?”

Well Shauna (Denise Richards), perhaps Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) figured that turn about was fair play considering all the clandestine smooches that you and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) shared during his stubborn sabbatical at his Daddy’s abode.

Ridge: “I thought Thomas was over his obsession with Hope, I really thought he was…I’m never going to doubt you again. Promise.” Oh Ridge, try making promises that you can actually keep! You’ve been pledging that same one to Brook since about 1987.

Brooke to Ridge: “Even when we weren’t together, I never stopped loving you.” Oh! So THAT’s always been the problem. Well, that’s probably a fact that poor Eric (John McCook), Thorne, Whipple, Grant, and Nick can all attest to anyway.

Hope: “Douglas…you changed our lives with those four words that you said. Do you remember what they were?” Remember them? Oh Hope, “Baby Beth is alive,” has become that young man’s catchphrase.

Carter (Laurence Saint-Victor): “Some day she’ll be at the altar with a guy who…truly wants to be there with her.” Are we for or against a Carter/Zoe (Kiara Barnes) pairing? If it’s the former, what would be the most appropriate smoosh name? The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
