The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 16-20, 2019, features lessons for the characters to learn, Zoe playing turn-coat, Thomas netting a win, and Liam and Steffy teaming up.
There is a truism that all BB characters live by — Never say never. Never say your marriage will never end in divorce; never say that you’ll never team up with your favorite ex-husband to investigate whether or not your brother is still obsessing over his ex; and certainly, never say that you will never work with your obsessive ex again — especially when a bohemian fashion line is at stake.
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) also said that she would never hire Zoe (Kiara Barnes) back at Forrester, then she turned right around and did just that. However, there is a method to her madness.
Zoe, it seems, will now be playing double agent for her boss and Liam (Scott Clifton), gathering as much evidence as she can to determine if Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has changed his psychotic spots
The question is easily answered. No, he has not. He remains steadfastly determined to make Hope (Annika Noelle) his bride. And thanks to the idea he floated about a showdown between Hope For the Future and the clothing line Steffy is pushing, Thomas now had Hope exactly where he wanted her.
Enter Liam. Now he isn’t too happy that his pseudo wife is back working with the man who kept the secret about his daughter being alive — call him crazy if you must. But, one can’t help but worry about his and Steffy’s decision to place all their eggs in the basket that is Zoe.
The girl clearly has almost as many problems as Thomas, the man who bullied her mercilessly and threw her under the proverbial bus when the baby Beth secret was exposed. And yet, she’s now lusting after him. Really? This is a red flag if there ever was one.
Surely the more prudent course of action that Liam and Steffy should have taken was to have some cameras and listening devices installed in Thomas’ office, yes? Whatever the outcome, it’s probably …continue reading on the next page —>
Surely the more prudent course of action that Liam and Steffy should have taken was to have some cameras and listening devices installed in Thomas’ office, yes? Whatever the outcome, it’s probably a safe bet that things will get worse before they get better — if they ever do, in fact, get better.
What is up with every member of the Forrester family taking the opinion that Hope should just forgive and forget? Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Quinn (Rena Sofer) are understandable-ish. But it’s disturbing to see Eric (John McCook) take a position that could be summed up as, “Girl, get over it.”
But, in hindsight, perhaps Eric’s position makes the most sense. After all, this is the man who forgave Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) her every trespass — and the girl committed a TON of trespasses.
Speaking of Ridge, do you think that he will ever file those divorce papers at the courthouse? Or will he and “Logan” (Katherine Kelly Lang) finally find their way back to each other — for what could very well be the 75th time?
Lesson: never say your marriage is over because the likelihood that you will simply come back together and remarry is extremely high. This is a soap opera after all. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
