Today’s The Bold and The Beautiful recap (BB) for Thursday, August 16 features Wyatt’s delivering some brotherly advice.
Brotherly Love
Liam (Scott Clifton) asked Wyatt (Darin Brooks) to be his best man. Wyatt initially refused since he and Hope (Annika Noelle) don’t exactly get along, but when Liam pointed out that the job was going to either Wyatt or Bill, Wyatt relented and accepted.
Wyatt then said that he wasn’t sure if Liam was going into his wedding wholeheartedly. Presented with a fantasy scenario where he could “share” the two women, Liam said that his focus was on who he wanted to be as a man, not who he wanted to be with.
Wyatt then pointed out that Steffy, not Liam, was the one who decided that Liam should marry Hope. He then pointed out that Liam was manipulated into marrying Hope by Bill, and if Bill hadn’t stuck his nose in the middle of it all, Steffy and Liam would still be together.
The Tension Builds
Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) invite to Liam and Hope’s wedding came courtesy of Hope in an attempt to broker peace. Steffy first hesitated but then accepted the invitation.
Hope then said that she didn’t want anyone at the wedding who believed that she “won” while Steffy “lost” because it was a choice that Steffy made. Steffy accepted the invitation while making clear that she was bringing Taylor (Hunter Tylo) for moral support.
But when Steffy revealed to Taylor that she was going to the wedding, and Taylor would be her plus-one, Taylor refused, saying that Steffy was being used as a prop for Hope. Taylor also acknowledged that this mess was due to Bill and thought Hope was being directed by Brooke.
Ridge Has Doubts
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) told Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) that he wasn’t sure if Steffy was really on board with the “Lope” wedding. Brooke insisted that Steffy wanted what was best for her daughter.
Hope then told her mother that she wanted Steffy at the wedding. While this was met with resistance, it’s nothing compared to how Brooke reacted to hearing Taylor’s name.
