The Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 20-24, 2020, features a return to original programming. Sally’s continued descent into madness and a traffic accident were highlights of the week.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

First a recap. When last we left the fictional denizens of Los Angeles, Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie (Heather Tom) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) relationships were on the verge of collapse – all because Brooke and Bill found it too difficult to keep their lips from connecting – Sally’s (Courtney Hope) feigned illness had been rumbled by Flo (Katrina Bowden), and everyone agreed that they hated Thomas (Matthew Atkinson).

Sally’s Best Laid Plans

Sally had to think, and she had to think fast. What were she and Penny (Monica Ruiz) going to do with an unconscious Flo? How were they going to keep from getting arrested for causing grievous bodily harm? And how in the world was she going to forever bind herself to Wyatt (Darin Brooks)?

The answers were about as sane as one would expect. First, she and her partner in crime tied their victim to the radiator in Sally’s apartment – it’s a perfect location for a (sorta) hostage situation. Then Sally hit upon a genius conceit – and we are using the term genius SUPER loosely. She was going to convince Wyatt to sleep with, and ultimately impregnate, her.

Neither Penny nor Flo was on board with Sally’s plan but she plunged full steam ahead anyway. Luckily a quick-thinking Flo was able to briefly KO her assailant and scrawl a plea for rescue across her lingerie-clad derriere.

When Wyatt noticed the message he loudly insisted that Sally give up the goods and she in turn relayed Flo’s location. (Can we say the shortest kidnapping in daytime ever?) But where do these four broken souls go from here?

Paging Dr. McSteamy

Flo, at the very least, should probably head for the hospital – she was unconscious for quite a while after that bump to the noggin. And while recovering from her injuries she just might find a familiar face in the form of Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Turns out, motorcyclists and distracted automobile drivers aren’t a good mix. And somebody probably should have warned Bill of that fact BEFORE he went and ran Steffy over.

Sure, it was an accident. But it was an accident that could have been avoided had Bill chosen to merely remain home stewing over his and Katie’s potential break-up instead of getting in a car and setting off to his former daughter-in-law and grandchild.

Now, Steffy’s laid up in a hospital bed, still unconscious and in a really bad way. At least she has a hunky new doctor ready willing and able to cure whatever ails her.

On second thought, maybe Wyatt should keep his newly-sprung girlfriend far, far away from the medical center. That guy needs more competition like he needs a hold in the head. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
