The Bold and the Beautiful has both a consistent cast and a gallery of past players from its 33-year run, many of whom could return in a moment’s notice. Familiar faces bring with them history and conflict. But some could shake up serene L.A. life more than others.
Which character from BB’s past should return next to stir things up on the canvas? Soap Hub posed this question to fans. Read on for the results
Courtney Hope’s Sally received the majority of your votes with 34%. Sure, she’s promised to leave Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Flo (Katrina Bowden) alone after her recent attempt to win Wyatt back. But there are other people who could benefit from her presence – namely, her rival, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
She’s not having a great recovery from her motorcycle accident that Bill (Don Diamont) caused. Steffy needs some frank talk — who better than Sally to provide frank words? However, as reported, Hope is on her way to Genoa City as a cast member of The Young and the Restless. Stay tuned to find out if she’ll be playing Sally or someone new!
Thorne, last played by Ingo Rademacher (Jax, General Hospital), came in with the next highest amount of votes — 30%. There are lots of ways Thorne could fit into the canvas. Someone needs to clue his dad Eric (John McCook) in on what his wife Quinn (Rena Sofer) is up to.
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Shauna (Denise Richards) can’t last forever. As Rademacher is back at General Hospital as Jax, BB would need to either recast the role again or call upon a previous Thorne like Winsor Harmon, who played the part the longest, Jeff Trachta, or Clayton Norcross, who originated the role.
Taylor (Hunter Tylo) came in next with 27% of your vote. Given Steffy’s recent medical woes, it’d only make sense for her doctor/psychiatrist mother to show up and support her kid. Plus, pretty please give us at least one scene where Taylor finds out that Ridge has divorced Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and married Shauna (Denise Richards).
Okay, Vinny’s (Joe LoCicero) not anyone’s cousin (that we know of), but 9% of you would like to see Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) pal show up and get involved in the action again. The guy’s certainly not all bad.
He encouraged Thomas to be good to his son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri), when Thomas ran out of patience with his child. Every soap could always use another hunk! Any of these characters returning would be exciting! Stay tuned to see if any do. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
