Katie and Bill, aside from her kidney transplant story, have been simmering a bit on the backburner on The Bold and the Beautiful. Would adding to their family give them more screen-time?
Soap Hub asked BB fans if Katie (Heather Tom) and Bill (Don Diamont), parents to Will (Finnegan George), should expand their clan and have another child. Read on for the results.
The majority of you, over 54%, say no. You don’t want to see Katie and Bill have another child. While having kids can pay off later after they grow up in terms of storylines, changing diapers, painting nurseries, and choosing baby names isn’t exactly compelling drama.
Plus, Katie has some health issues. Her heart and kidney transplants may not make her the best candidate to carry a baby to term and go through labor. As far as you’re concerned, Will should remain their only child together.
Nearly half of you, almost 45%, believe that Katie and Bill should have another child. Characters having siblings are a soap opera staple, especially on BB. Think of all the conflict that’s been mined over the years between brothers Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Thorne (Ingo Rademacher; Winsor Harmon) and sisters Katie and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Sure, Will already has two brothers — Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) — but they’re old enough to be his dad! Will needs someone closer to his own age to share stories with. He and a new sibling could drive plots as BB continues into the future!
The remaining voters, less than 1% of you, cast ideas on how Katie and Bill could expand their brood without her being pregnant. One voter suggested a surrogate. Another put forth the option of adoption. All are viable and all would give this fan-favorite duo some air time! Stay tuned to see what happens. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
