Little Douglas on The Bold and the Beautiful wants what most kids want — two parents who love him, will raise him, and be there for him. His dream came true when Hope entered his life. But is this a case of be careful what you wish for?
The Bold and the Beautiful Polling
Hope (Annika Noelle), at times, invests all of herself into Douglas’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) happiness. Does she go too far? Soap Hub posed this question to BB fans.
Every Move You Make
Over 67% of you say yes, Hope is too obsessed with Douglas. The last time viewers saw a Logan woman this myopic about a Forrester man, it was when Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) couldn’t stop thinking about Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) in the show’s early days. BB’s no stranger to mothers who can’t seem to stop thinking about their kids; remember when Stephanie (Susan Flannery) got all up in Ridge’s business?
A Mother’s Love
The rest of you, over 33%, say that no, Hope is not being obsessed with Douglas. She’s being sweet and protective. And if there’s anyone who needs protecting, it’s Douglas! His father, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has never been physically abusive with his son, but he’s playing mind games with the kid — urging him to convince Hope that Thomas shouldn’t marry Zoe (Kiara Barnes).
Maybe it’s not Hope who should be hovering over Douglas, but rather his absent-grandmother Taylor (Hunter Tylo). We suspect little Douglas will need a therapist someday — and soon!
Split The Difference
No one is suggesting that Hope stop loving Douglas, but it might be time to put the Forrester helicopter back in the hanger. He’ll be going off to grade school soon and Douglas is going to have to learn to stand on his own two little feet — at least a little bit. The most important thing is for Thomas’s machinations to get exposed. Stay tuned to see what happens next. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
