The Bold and the Beautiful has had many spectacular villains over the years including Deveney Dickson, Sheila Carter, Morgan DeWitt, and, depending on your perspective, Stephanie Forrester! While it’s mostly been women who drive story on the show, BB now has a male antagonist — Thomas Forrester!
Thomas has been manipulating characters for a while now. Just when it looked like Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor’s (Hunter Tylo) firstborn had been found out, he’s managed to use his son Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) to get Hope (Annika Noelle) back into his life.
Can Thomas be redeemed? Or is he destined to remain a BB bad boy? Soap Hub posed this question to BB fans. Read on to see if your thoughts match the majority of voters!
Doubting Thomas
Almost 66% of you feel that no, Thomas can’t be redeemed. He’s gone too far. His falls off the cliff house and into a vat of non-lethal liquid at Forrester Creations haven’t deterred him from his myopic goal of winning Hope’s heart. If anything, they’ve only made him more determined.
Oddly, he claims to care for Hope yet he’s perfectly fine if her mother Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) loses everything. Let’s not forget his role in Emma’s (Nia Sioux) death and those intimidating looks he shoots Douglas. The road to redemption for Thomas is a long one!
Hope For His Future?
A third of you, almost 34% of The Bold and the Beautiful fans, believe that yes, Thomas can be redeemed. He’s hardly the first person to do something bad. The late Stephanie (Susan Flannery) faked a heart attack, manipulating everyone around her.
Eric (John McCook) gave Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) a second (third?) chance when she returned to Los Angeles a while back. And let’s never forget that Brooke withheld Caroline’s (Joanna Johnson) letter from Ridge, hoping to block their reunion. If these people get another chance, why can’t Thomas?
