What Happened to Thomas Forrester?

Fans last saw Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) over the summer. He returned home with his son Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri). Thomas shocked everyone when he announced he was engaged to Paris (Diamond White). The two reconnected in Paris, which seems appropriate.

At first, it seemed like Thomas and Paris would throw a wedding at the Forrester mansion. However, Thomas took flight again. He returned to Europe because he was happier there.

He also suggested that they would have a low-key wedding at some point. This is surprising, considering it sounds nothing like him. This storyline could’ve provided angst for Hope (Annika Noelle), who hasn’t gotten over the fact that she lost him. Her feelings have been all over the place lately and will continue that way.

Boost B&B Ratings

When “Thope” first became romantic, ratings for the CBS soap exploded. However, they have been on a steady decline ever since. Thomas’ return would bring a major ratings boost to B&B and allow the characters to address their romantic situation.

The couple was so popular despite their controversial relationship. Over the years, Thomas became so obsessed with Hope that he had a mannequin of her. He even tried to keep her away from Beth. In the soap world, some of the most controversial romances become the most popular.

‘Thomas’ return could bring love and family back into the show. Speaking of family, the Forresters could use him right now. Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) returned with the grim news that she was dying.

She doesn’t want her family to know. However, it would make more sense for Taylor to have Steffy and Thomas by her side. Taylor and Steffy have grown close over the years.

However, Taylor still has a special bond with her son, especially after helping him from his dark times. It doesn’t make sense not to have Thomas in the picture. If Taylor dies, Thomas won’t be around to say goodbye to his mom for the last time.

Thomas’ return could also bring more heart back into the show—especially concerning matters of romance and family. He could be the one to wrap up loose ties with “Thope” and the Forresters.
