Carter is certainly going through it over on The Bold and the Beautiful. He went from being the big wig COO of a world-famous design house to trying to take it over to getting handed his pink slip and shoved out the door. All this for the sake of love.
While we understand that this may seem like a terrible injustice, we have to remind ourselves that this is what Carter chose. He decided it was worth giving up his job, his friends, and his social standing for his brand-new romance with Hope (Annika Noelle).
Was he right? He seems to think so! What he has with Hope is special. It’s exciting and sweet, as is everything he’s been yearning for his entire life. In mere weeks, he and Hope went from being lovely coworkers to being a hot couple head over heels in love. It feels good, and Carter likes to feel good.

If Carter and Hope truly do work out then yes, this was all worth it. No career in the world is worth sticking with if it means losing true love. Carter sees a future with Hope and that matters. It matters a lot. Carter has always wanted a wife way more than he’s wanted friends, anyway. He proved that when he bedded Eric’s (John McCook) wife.
Now, if we look at this in a logical way, instead of using emotions, Carter obviously chose wrongly. Very, very wrong. His love affair with Hope is barely off the ground and he’s already throwing around the “l” word and is far too engrossed in this romance. It’s blinding him and he’s making some truly terrible decisions.
Carter should know Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) always has his back when it’s possible. He knows the Forresters adore him. So much so that they didn’t hesitate to welcome him back into the fold after that whole “Quarter” situation. He’s throwing it all in the trash and stomping all over the Forrester family’s loyalty. It’s not a good look, and there may not be any coming back from this stunt.
Hopefully, one day, Carter will get his head on straight and get his life back on track. But, for now, we’re just enjoying the ride as we watch him set his professional life ablaze so he can light up Hope’s world.
