Earlier this week, The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Ridge and Taylor were worried about their daughter. Steffy was missing in action, so they called people important to them to see if they had heard from her. Naturally, they called Thomas. Unfortunately, we only saw Taylor talking to him on the phone. And we didn’t get a glimpse of Thomas in Paris or anything. It’s been weeks and weeks since the former Hope for the Future designer left Los Angeles to return to the City of Love with his love, Paris. So why hasn’t he returned yet?
A Forrester Emergency
Even though Steffy’s captivity only lasted a few days, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson — who’s becoming a dad) had enough time to get his brotherly self back to Los Angeles. He could have helped Finn (Tanner Novlan) find Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Or, at the very least, been there to support Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye).
After all, this was his sister, and knowing her, she probably gave Thomas a heads-up that she’d be in his neck of the European woods. And when he found out she didn’t show up to her destination, he’d hightail it back to the U.S. immediately.
If he knows that Hope kissed Finn, Thomas will want to be there for his sister. She was there for him after Hope (Annika Noelle) rejected his second proposal (maybe too there for him). And Thomas would undoubtedly want to return the favor.
Moving On?
Even if he is truly over Hope (debatable) and wants a life with Paris, this news of Hope kissing Finn has to throw him a little bit. Potentially, he’d want answers from Finn about why he hurt his sister. Then he’d have a fraught face-to-face with Hope. During this conversation, he’d ask her what was happening with her and what she was thinking.
Regardless, it’s odd that we haven’t seen or heard from Thomas in weeks. Sure, a returned Taylor talked about spending time with her son and Douglas (Henry Joseph Samir). However, up until the last few months, the character of Thomas Forrester was a force at Forrester and was part of a relationship that caused much drama.
