The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Steffy will be proud. The Wednesday, March 27 episode ended with Thomas walking out on Hope. He severed their personal and professional relationships. He also damaged their family relationship. It’ll be difficult to co-parent when he and Douglas are in Paris. All he knew was that he couldn’t be in her presence in any way or form.
Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) cutting off Hope (Annika Noelle) must have felt like an addict suddenly having to go cold turkey. For as long as she could remember, Hope’s had Thomas’s light and devotion trained on her and her alone. Well, he shut that bright light off, but good. With Steffy’s help and Hope’s recent rejection of his proposal, he wonders if she may ever feel for him as much as he does for her. (B&B cast celebrates 37 years here)
Sure, she loves him and may even be in love with him. But it’ll never be to the extent that Thomas loves her and sometimes that’s a very lonely and painful position to be in and Thomas finally realizes that. However, Hope is taking his sudden rejection of her hard. She doesn’t want to get married (which is her right), but she also doesn’t want to be without Thomas. Is Thomas correct in thinking that she may never want to get married? Should he ask if it’s a marriage period or if she’ll ever be ready to marry him? (Check out how Ashleigh Brewer is returning to B&B here)
Hope will blame Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Soap Hub talks about the real reason Steffy pushed for Thope to end) for this breakup, so we’ll see how she reacts from here on out. Will their rivalry blow up? And while Thomas will always love Hope, will he move on from this deep love with someone else someday? And what did everybody think about this breakup? We turned to X/Formerly known as Twitter to find out what B&B fans think.
@mesha3 said she “looked at it this way. Thomas has seen both Brooke and Hope marry their ex spouses before the ink dries on the annulment & divorce [sic] papers but Thomas has to wait for how long??? How long did Hope wait when Liam divorce Steffy…a day. #BoldandBeautiful”
@gorqeousaly has no time for Thomas saying he “out here looking & pathetic like this can’t be the same Thomas who was out here bagging baddies like Sasha #BoldandBeautiful”
As for @aprilkartis, she was affected by the break-up scenes saying “These Thomas &. Hope scenes got me like 🥹😭😭😭😭 #Thope #BoldandBeautiful #BoldandtheBeautiful”
Meanwhile, @ChelseaAMusic wishes “Thomas was making this decision about putting a pause on things with Hope & moving to Paris on his own instead of having Steffy tell him that’s what he needs to do!! 😡😤 #BoldandBeautiful”
@_chickymonkey is celebrating “Thomas taking off his Hope goggles at long last LMAO #BoldandBeautiful
@FreeSteffy2021 agrees, saying “Hope doesn’t realize how selfish she truly is. If she wants self-discovery that’s fine but it shouldn’t be at the expense of mental health of someone else. Being rejected and in a one-sided relationship is extremely toxic. Hope doesn’t realize how toxic she is #BoldandBeautiful”
On the flip side, a Thomas and Hope fan says, “There is no to her man for me… You’re it. Did y’all hear that? For the ppl who say Thomas isn’t her soulmate #thope #BoldandBeautiful this angst hurts like h*ll but it’s so good bc once they reunite they’ll be so much stronger 💪🏼”
