From Blonde to Brunette

Although information about Nadia Kelly is being kept tightly under wraps, Matula’s Instagram post about her casting did feature a video of her in her trailer. The actress will be sporting a new ‘do for the role, having dropped her signature blonde for a brunette that’s got a bit of an edge to it.

What is The Hunting Wives About?

The Starz series, which turned Netflix original, is based on May Cobb’s book of the same name. The show follows Sophie O’Neil (Brittany Snow), a New England transplant who moves to Maple Brooke with her husband, Graham (Evan Jonigkeit). She’s quickly taken under the wing of Margo Banks (Malin Akerman), a socialite who leads a group of women called The Hunting Wives. They’re a clique who get into all types of trouble together and often get away with it, including having illicit affairs with each other and high school boys.

The ladies like to have a good time, but between letting the booze flow and shooting guns, there’s a murder that adds to the mess that they’re already involved in. They say everything is bigger in Texas, and Sophie put a heaping pile of chaos on her plate.

Season 2 plot and cast

Since season 1 wrapped up the events in the book, the team behind The Hunting Wives will be charting new territory as they bring to life a continuation not backed by the source material. Season 2 picks up with Sophie and Margo not seeing eye-to-eye due to the events of season 1. However, they’re forced back together when old secrets rise to the surface, and new enemies have them on their toes. The million-dollar question is ‘Who’s really doing the hunting?”

Like Matula, Alex FitzAlan has also been cast as a recurring character. He plays Lincoln Trout. It’s unknown whether the two are who Sophie and Margo are combating in season 2. The returning cast includes Branton Box, Hunter Emery, George Ferrier, Evan Jonigkeit, Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, and Karen Rodriguez.
