Bold and the Beautiful Unleashes a Friday Cliffhanger Kiss

The only thing we hoped for today was Brooke’s answer to Ridge’s job offer. Even though teasers suggested Hope would find herself in an unexpected situation. And that’s exactly what happened in the Friday, June 7 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.

Massage. Compliment. Kiss.

Yesterday, it seemed like Finn (Tanner Novlan) massaging Hope (Annika Noelle) was a little clinical. Sure, he defended Hope against his wife, Steffy, but the reflexology or whatever he was doing with Hope’s hand was innocent on his part. On her part, however, she definitely felt some vibes.

They were vibes the show capitalized on at the end of the Friday episode. Finn talked about how impressed he was with her Hope for the Future line. That she embodied the design line. Once again, he listed Hope’s better qualities. How she’s an amazing mother, he called her a fashion icon even! He said he appreciated how she infused a social message with Hope for the Future. He went on and on.

And then things suddenly stopped. Hope’s migraine flared — or that’s what it looked like anyway — causing Finn to go in with his hands. The two got closer and closer and then all of a sudden they kissed! Fade to black. The end of this week’s worth of B&B episodes.

What Now?

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood — who recently threw an Emmy luncheon) was already wary about how much influence Hope was having on Finn. Apparently, Finn can’t think for himself. He had to be influenced to believe in Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and attend her wedding, right? However, Steffy was on to something. She didn’t like how much time they were spending together and now those concerns were validated. Big time.

The man is normally so solid in his love for Steffy, making this whiplash kiss perplexing. Usually he’s Mr. Finn-ocent! His feelings don’t waiver. Yet now he’s kissing Hope behind closed doors. And in a preview for next week, they seem to take things further. At first this all felt like a dream. But after seeing that sneak peek, could this be real?

If it truly is, then we’re suddenly in a countdown to Steffy discovering this big secret. There’s also the matter of her kissing Liam (Scott Clifton) twice that needs to come out. It all adds up to Finn and Steffy being on such shaky ground. Shakier ground than they’ve ever been before.
