Tom’s Backpack Makes a Comeback on the August 2 Bold and the Beautiful

To give Bill time to deal with the fact that his son, Will, is suddenly back in town, the Nozawa girls head back to Poppy’s apartment. That’s where Luna unearthed a strange, mysterious back, the same one that made the rounds at Il Giardino. How did the backup end up at Poppy’s place?

At Il Giardino, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Deacon (Sean Kanan – who talks gun safety on sets here) chatted about Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) and the backpack. Sheila suddenly felt bad for brushing off Hollis when he tried to ask her for help. He knew there was something to it, and for some reason, Sheila didn’t. In fact, she was pretty rude about it. And we have no other reason for it than it threw us off the scent of who really killed Tom (Clint Howard) and, later, Hollis.

At Poppy’s place, hiding out, while Bill (Don Diamont) adjusts to having Will (Crew Morrow) back in his life again, Poppy (Romy Park) and Luna (Lisa Yamada) go through their place. After all, the building is about to be demolished. Luna found the backpack, opened it up, and found the letters Tom had written to her mom for years. She even read some of them and knows Tom thinks of himself as Luna’s father.

Luna kind of freaked out and started questioning her mom. Hopefully, Popopy will know not to keep secrets from Luna anymore. But something tells us she’s got a million of them.

How did the backpack end up at Poppy’s?

• Poppy herself? It seemed a little like Poppy had no idea that backpack was there in the back of the couch. And it’s too early in the game for Poppy to be labeled the murderer.
• Li (Naomi Matsuda) or Jack (Ted King)? Poppy’s sister and ex-brother-in-law could have had something to do with it. And while we’ve continued seeing Li, we have barely seen Jack since we spotted him at Il Giardino’s new music night, the night Tom died.
• Sheila? We can never count her out, even though the police have at this point.
• Justin (Aaron D. Spears). The last time we saw Justin at Il Giardino talking to Deacon and Bill, he gave shady expressions. What is going on with him?
