Forget about moonlighting on The Bold and the Beautiful as Emmy, Bill Spencer’s secretary. The Talk host, Sheryl Underwood, has some great story ideas for the half-hour soap. When Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy, dropped by the CBS talk show, Underwood fired off some solid story possibilities.

The Write Stuff

Wood sat down with Amanda Kloots, who recently popped up as Lucy on the show, and Underwood to chat about her current storyline in which Steffy finally did away with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). The three-time Daytime Emmy-winner praised Brown as both an actress and a person, but as far as Sheila goes, she quipped, “Ding dong! The witch is dead! They’ve been going toe-to-toe for so long. It’s good to know that Steffy went up against one of the best villains in daytime.”

Underwood, like most soap opera devotees, speculated that Sheila’s demise might create conflict in her marriage to Finn. “Do you think that Sheila’s death is going to mess up your relationship with Finn [Tanner Novlan],” Underwood queried. “You know Liam is outside with some flowers, candy, a tuxedo, and champagne waiting for you!”

“I’m not mad at that,” responded Wood to that potential scenario. “Steffy needs Finn to man up! She needs her man there. Sheila has terrorized their family for so long.” The actress quipped that Steffy doesn’t want to off her husband, too! If that unlikely scenario were to happen, Underwood suggests a direction for Steffy. “I see it! I see it!” said Underwood. “Then, you gotta go to trial. Liam comes in and saves the day!”

Underwood had yet another suggestion for a B&B story avenue. She thinks that Kloots should reprise her role as Lucy and become “a crazy nanny that kidnaps the baby!” Wood thinks it would be terrific for both Amanda Kloots and Sheryl Underwood to pop back up on the show, suggesting that the three go on a road trip to Las Vegas!

The Talk airs weekdays on CBS at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT. Check your local listings.
