Amanda Kloots, co-host of The Talk, talked to Soap Hub late last year about when she might be doing a guest spot on either The Bold and the Beautiful or The Young and the Restless. Now, that guest appearance is going to happen! But on which soap opera?
Amanda Kloots: B&B Bound
“Word is out! I got to spend a day as a soap opera star on [B&B] working alongside the incredible cast!” Kloots posted on Instagram. “I grew up watching soaps with my Mom so this was a surreal dream job day! Catch the episode on [Wednesday] Feb 21st on CBS! [My son] Elvis makes an appearance too!”
Mum’s the word on who Kloots will play on the show. But could the fact that her son Elvis is also going to be on the show mean the mother/son duo might be appearing in scenes with some of the child actors on B&B along with their TV parents? Perhaps, Kloots and Elvis will be in scenes with Henry Joseph Samiri (Douglas) and Hope (Annika Noelle) or some other characters?
Kloots’s pals from Dancing With the Stars have weighed in with congratulatory messages. “Omg yes,” wrote Sasha Farber, pro dancer. DWTS judge and former Talk co-host Carrie Ann Inaba wrote: “Congratulations!”
Other Talk co-hosts have appeared on B&B and Y&R. Sheryl Underwood recurs as Emmy, Bill’s (Don Diamont) secretary on B&B; Akbar Gbajabiamila was Forrester Creations marketing whiz Max on the show in 2022. Natalie Morales played investigative journalist Talia Morgan on Y&R in 2022 as part of Diane’s (Susan Walters) return.
Kloots was jazzed about the possibility of a guest gig that’s now becoming a reality. She let Soap Hub know at the Daytime Emmys that something was perhaps in the works. “[A B&B producer] said, ‘When are you coming onto the show?’” Kloots confided. “I said that I would love that! Let’s do it!”
Kloots being cast on B&B made perfect sense to Gbajabiamila. Why is that? “She’s bold — and she’s beautiful!” he quipped. On a less pun-filled note, he said to his fellow host, “We want to see a different side to you.”
