It has been two months since Eric and Donna were married, the infamous night that involved Luna, Zende, and Poppy’s happy mints. While Luna, Zende, and Poppy discussed every angle of this story, nobody else knew, until now. Well, in the Monday, April 15 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Luna did it. So did Zende as he came clean to Carter. Why did Carter make so much sense to us?
At RJ’s (Joshua Hoffman) bachelor pad beach house, Luna (Lisa Yamada) dug deep and told the man she loved that she accidentally cheated on him. It wasn’t clear the intern would overcome her fears and blab the truth. But she did it. So far, RJ’s anger has cranked up to an eight. That’s all we’ve seen of his reaction thus far.
Simultaneously, at Forrester Creations, Zende (Delon de Metz) told Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) what was up. The designer was scared about how RJ would take the bad news. While Zende made progress on some of his beliefs of that night, he still has a long way to go. He does think about Luna’s perspective on this whole nightmare. But it feels like it only comes from a place of wanting to be with her.
Obviously, he doesn’t want her life to blow up over this. But he said things like Poppy (Romy Park) shouldn’t have left her happy mints lying all over the place. And if he had realized that Luna had taken those mints he would have taken her home or escorted her back to the party so RJ could take her home (like he should have done in the first place).
Carter shot down all of Zende’s thoughts and actions with just a few short sentences:
What about taking accountability? Shocked or not, RJ is with Luna. He is your cousin. That should have been enough to pump the brakes.
Carter was empathetic to all parties involved in this insanity, but he was right. Zende should have walked away or alerted RJ or something. Anything else. And, he needed to stay away from Luna purely because she was in love and involved with his cousin. But now that it happened, he must take accountability for his role in this mess. (Find out what last happened on B&B here)
Meanwhile, Carter was also right about Poppy feeling guilty about what’s happening with her daughter. It’s nice that he thought of her plight.
Too bad Zende didn’t talk to Carter about this sooner. The older man could have given his friend a wiser, healthier, better perspective on what happened. Hopefully, Carter will have his own drama that’ll take him front and center. But for now, his words of wisdom were welcome. Zende needs to listen to his friend about how to proceed from here on out, especially when dealing with RJ, who’s sure to be gunning for his cousin.
