Ever since Steffy mentioned her mother, Taylor, would be meeting her in Rome on Bold and the Beautiful, tongues have been wagging that actress Krista Allen is being written off B&B. Soap Hub contacted the show to find out.
A rep for the half-hour soap says that her portrayer, Allen, is still on contract so the actress and the character aren’t going anywhere.
B&B viewers who have been missing Taylor can expect to see Allen on their screens later this month. She’ll be appearing in episodes on Wednesday, September 27, Thursday, September 28, Friday, September 29, and she’ll also air in early October. Contrary to speculative reports, Allen remains a part of B&B and viewers will continue to see the woman Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) calls “Doc.”
For now, Taylor appears to have joined Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) overseas, where we’re hoping she’s giving some off-the-books therapy to her daughter over her marriage to Finn (Tanner Novlan). Allen, who began her acting career by playing Shelley, a Bikini Bar waitress on B&B back in 1995, went on to play Billie on Days of our Lives and work in primetime (Baywatch Hawaii) and film (Totally Blonde). In late 2021, she returned to B&B, taking over the role of Dr. Taylor Hayes, the part originated by Hunter Tylo in 1990.
Earlier this year, Allen was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her work as B&B’s Taylor. Allen has received support online, especially from B&B devotee Matt Hanvey, who is known for his riotous sendups of the show on social media.
