The Bold and the Beautiful and Dallas Star Linda Gray Sends Heartfelt Wishes to Texas

Linda Gray, who played Priscilla on The Bold and the Beautiful, is, of course, best known for her Emmy-nominated run as Sue Ellen Ewing on Dallas and the show’s 2012 revival.

The actress shot on location in the Lone Star State for many years and now she’s sending an uplifting and sincere message to the people of Texas, who are battling horrific weather conditions as seen on the news.

“Hi, everyone,” Gray began. “This is Linda. I’m sending love and warmth and virtual hugs to all of you amazing people in Texas. I began coming to Texas in 1978 [to film Dallas] and there began a wonderful love affair that exists till this day.”

Gray is aware that residents are battling the elements — many without heat or power. “I know you’re experiencing an amazing, amazing time right now, unprecedented in the history of Texas,” the actress adds. “I pray for electricity [and I] am loving you, hugging you. You are survivors, every single one of you. You’re Texas. You can do anything. Love to you all.”

As Dallas fans recall, Gray’s role as Sue Ellen was expanded as the show continued into its second season due in no small part to a wicked look Sue Ellen gave her cheating husband J.R. (Larry Hagman), which resulted in two men holding the Ewings at gunpoint in their own home!

Gray was recognized for her work on Dallas with Primetime Emmy nominations for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama in 1981 and 1982. She would later go on to direct five episodes of Dallas. She exited the series in Season 12 but returned for the finale two years later. Gray reprised Sue Ellen for two TV-movies — J.R. Returns and War of the Ewings and for the TNT revival series that ran from 2012-14.
