Steffy’s Ulterior Motive on Bold and the Beautiful September 16 Could Fuel War With Hope

There’s a method to Steffy’s madness on The Bold and the Beautiful. She initially wanted to eliminate Hope for the Future because it was no longer a hot seller. Still, her quick decision to keep the line on the September 16 episode confused everyone, including Hope. Of course, she has an ulterior motive for her seemingly benevolent move, which could lead to more animosity with Hope.

Couture Collection Not Cancelled

Hope (Annika Noelle) dreaded being called into the office. She met with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) just happened to watch, even though they had no business being there.

During the meeting, Steffy reiterated what Hope had already heard: The numbers for Hope for the Future don’t look good. Hope cut to the chase and asked Steffy if this meant she was cutting the line. 

Steffy told Hope she respects her couture line and what it’s done for Forrester Creations. She has no intention of canceling the collection. Steffy believes the younger generation will start wearing couture 10-15 years from now.

Hope for the Future is a slow grower that could build over time. Her sudden decision confused everyone in the room. Carter and Ridge looked the most confused. They looked like they were done with Hope for the Future. 

Hope thanked Steffy for keeping things respectful and civil. She’s glad that Steffy can see the future for her line. However, things changed when the ladies spoke alone. 

Steffy’s Ulterior Motive

In her office, Hope shared the good news over the phone with Zende (Delon de Metz). Steffy walked in and noticed that Hope was relieved about her business decision. Hope thanked Steffy for keeping things professional between them. 

Steffy told Hope that she would keep things civil as long as Hope listened to what she said. She wants Hope to stay away from her husband. However, the real reason why she saved Hope for the Future could be that she doesn’t want Hope to retaliate. The last thing she needs is Hope messing with her marriage.

Steffy believes that Hope has been trying to get revenge on her. She can keep her marriage intact by leveraging the line to ensure Hope toes the line where Finn is concerned. But will Hope be willing to bend to Steffy’s whim? Or, is this setting up a whole new round of battles in the Forrester vs. Logan war the two women have inherited?
